Bei der spanischen Luftwaffe hatte diese Maschine unter anderem die Kennung 7-29.

Für die Dreharbeiten zu dem Film "Battle of Britain" (BoB) bekam sie am 14.05.1968 die Registrierung G-AWHH und sie ist mit der Kennung "rote 4", und später wohl als "Winkel Dreieck" geflogen.

Das FotoBild ist 135.77 KB gross.


Am 28.11.1968 wurde die Registrierung als G-AWHH abgemeldet.

Die Maschine kam dann im Besitz von Conny Edwards in die USA und war sehr lange Zeit in Big Spring, Texas eingelagert. Dort trug sie noch ihren deutschen Anstrich als "Winkel Dreieck", den für die BoB-Dreharbeiten bekommen hatte.

1999 wurde sie angeblich an Richard Hansen verkauft (Reg. N6036), verblieb aber bis zur Auflösung von Conny Edwards Sammlung 2015 in Big Spring. Die Registrierung im FAA Registry wurde am 13.07.2017 gelöscht, als Grund wird dort der Export nach Großbritannien angegeben.

Am 04.10.2017 wurde die Maschine mit der Kennung G-AWHH für die Anglia Aircraft Restorations Ltd. zugelassen. (Quelle: G-INFO) Diese Kennung hatte sie auch schon bei den BoB-Dreharbeiten 1968.

Bei der Restaurierung durch die Air Leasing Ltd. in Sywell (England) bekam sie den, für eine Buchon unpassenden, Anstrich einer Bf 109 F-4 mit der Kennung "weisse 9", angelehnt an eine Maschine der 7./JG 52 der Deutschen Luftwaffe. Das Gruppenzeichen der III./JG 52 wurde auf beiden Rumpfseiten aufgebracht. Eine Maschine mit diesem Anstrich wurde durch Uffz. Edmund Roßmann im September 1941 an der Ostfront geflogen. (siehe Foto in [Q-179], S.78)

Der Erstflug nach der Restauration erfolgte am 28.06.2018 in Sywell (England).

Am 21.10.2022 wurde auf der Webseite von Flyaspitfire.com bekannt gegeben, dass sie die Maschine erworben und nach Biggin Hill geholt haben. Auf der Webseite von G-INFO wird für die Kennung G-AWHH als aktueller Besitzer die Fighter Aviation Engineering Ltd angegeben.
