Erst als Bf 109 G-14/U4 mit der Werknummer 127914 im Sommer 1944 gebaut, wurde diese Gustav Anfang 1945 von den WNF zu einer Bf 109 G-10/U4 umgebaut.

Nach dem Ende des Kriegs kam sie im Sommer 1945 zur bulgarischen Luftwaffe, doch dort verblieb sie nur bis 1947. Dann wurde sie zusammen mit 58 anderen Bf 109 an die jugoslawische Luftwaffe abgegeben und bekam dort die Registriegungsnummer 9644. Den letzten Flug machte Sie als "weisse 44" am 17.10.1950 und wurde danach bis 1953 eingelagert. Zeitweise war sie bei einer technischen Schule wurde dann jedoch mitte der siebziger Jahre an das Luftfahrtmuseum Belgrad übergeben.

1984 kaufte der britische Sammler Douglas Arnold die Gustav. Nach seinem Tod ging die Maschine 1989 an das Air Venture Museum in McMinnville wo eine umfangreiche Restauration in flugfähigen Zustand erfolgte, welche 1995 abgeschlossen war. Geflogen ist die Maschine jedoch bisher nie.

Sie bekam als Anstrich die Kennungen und Zeichen einer Bf 109 G von Erich Hartmann. Der originale Anstrich kann leider nicht mehr festgestellt werden. Dieser befand sich vermutlich unter dem jugoslawischen Anstrich. Im Zuge der Restauration in den flugfähigen Zustand wurden die Rumpfbleche ausgetauscht und die originalen Bleche leider verschrottet.

Seit 2018 steht die Maschine im American Heritage Museum, Hudson - Massachusetts (USA) in der "Battle for Berlin"-Ausstellung.
